Chicken-Wing Wood (鸡翅木, Jichimu) is a wood whose patterns when cut resemble the patterns of bird feathers. This wood is indigenous to Hainan Island and is frequently used in making of Chinese Wood Furniture. However, to save wastage, sizeable materials are made into beads restrung into mala beads.
