Agarwood is a fragrant dark resinous wood formed in the heartwood of aquilaria trees when they become infected with a type of mold. Prior to infection, the heartwood is odourless, relatively light and pale coloured; however, as the infection progresses, the tree produces a dark aromatic resin called agar. Grading, in a scale of 1-10A, is given as a scale for its scent.
 
In the Chinese culture, Agarwood is known for calming our body and soul, relieve tension, improve the chi, nourish our body's organs, and warming our stomach. On the other hand, the Vietnam culture view Agarwood as wealth wood, and believes its good energy can bring in goodness, luck and fortune.
